Making The Stories that Matter Work for Us

Every day we are immersed in stories- from ourselves, the larger world, our family, and our local community. This class will teach students to conduct interviews to create their own stories from their community, and to develop a way to share, educate, and inspire the world.

For this project we developed a three pronged approach.

  1. A syllabus design to help students be conduits for stories. Effectively, how do we harness the stories around us in a way that reflects the challenges of our time. Students are the best messengers for this in their respective communities.
  2. Design a digital Interface to interact with these stories using text, audio, and video
  3. A digital curriculum on Moodle set up to interact with students on Day 1

We all have the power to change our world. Stories are the most important tool in conveying and passing tradition and culture. I want to merge those ideas and help each student maximize their potential.
