About

“There are three responses to a design: Yes, No, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”—Milton Glaser

Learning design is a practice, one that depends on both deep knowledge about learning and the ability to thoughtfully and effectively apply that knowledge in the design of experiences, interactions, materials, and tools.

This site is a tribute to that practice, serving as an archive of projects developed by students in the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology (LDIT) master’s program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Here, you’ll find a wide array of ideas and innovations, each project a testament to the creativity, research, and dedication of our community members.

Through sharing these projects, our ambition is to catalyze new ideas and foster connections that extend beyond HGSE. We hope this record of student projects inspires you, sparking your imagination about what and how learning design can be in the world. Whether you’re an educator, a student, a designer, or simply someone interested in the future of education, there’s something here for everyone. If you have questions, thoughts to share, or are interested in collaborating, please reach out at ldit@gse.harvard.edu. Your engagement deepens our collective journey towards beautiful, powerful, and meaningful learning design.
