Afterschool Club: fun coding and robotics

This afterschool club aims to help learners think mathematically better when learning through play!  A robot is an autonomous machine that performs actions based on sensor input. Coding is closely related to robotics, making it beneficial for students to combine these skills (Team, 2023). Fun Coding and Robotics is an afterschool club I’ve designed to enhance students’ coding skills and computational thinking. We aim to teach basic coding and teamwork by having students work in diverse age groups on creative robotic cars. The club is primarily focused on teaching students how to code and operate these robotic cars. The target audience is elementary school students, particularly those in Grades 3 to 5. The learning environment is in-person, featuring small-group discussions, shared projects, and individual problem-solving tasks related to coding robotic cars.
