Big Idea

This program aims to bridge the gap between schools and the workplace, offering students crucial guidance for their future college and career decisions. It enables students to gain self-awareness, explore their career interests, complete the job application process, and engage in hands-on work experiences.

Program Goals

  • Gain a basic understanding of various jobs and industries, enabling them to select preferred career paths and eliminate those they do not favor.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and interests, and acquire various models for self-awareness and analysis.
  • Experience the complete job application process and master essential job application skills.
  • Choose industries and job positions they wish to explore, determining whether these align with their interests and aptitudes.

  • Career Assessment: Students will evaluate their compatibility with specific careers by gaining insights into the requirements and expectations of various industries and jobs. They will use this understanding to select skills for further development in alignment with their career aspirations.
  • Research Proficiency: Students will develop the ability to conduct thorough research on industries and job roles using methods such as desktop research, informational interviews, and other research techniques.

  • Interview Proficiency: Students will acquire vital interview skills, allowing them to confidently introduce themselves and apply the STAR method during interviews.
  • Company and Position Research: Students will learn fundamental techniques for researching companies and positions. They will understand how to access information about a company’s applicant expectations and its core values.
