Many solutions exist for augmenting K-12 classrooms. However the focal point of most programs depends on the effectivity of the teacher/educator interacting with the learners in their own context. We can have a NASA stem design kit, but ultimately the educator is in-charge of ensuring the lesson is delivered in the class in a manner that can achieve the student’s learning goals. Over the past 10 years, corporate upskilling with technology has become common place representing over a USD 350B market globally. I am building a platform that can inspire upskilling the school level in a manner that in-service educators have access to on-demand courses for educators by educators that can help them keep pace with the evolving research and pedagogy around learning.
The platform is intended to be a multi-modal resource, where educators can upskill in-person, online or both. I am leveraging moodle to build a easy to access LMS that can host the courses of teacher creators. Additionally, I am building out a first foundation course that opens up the minds of educators to upskilling and embrace a growth mindset. Inspired by HGSE’s approach to foundations, I intended for my foundation course be a precursor to any other course that the educators take on the platform that solidifies their context.
