Journey Through the Marine Ecosystem is a brief simulation game showcasing how the marine ecosystem is connected from the smallest molecule, to how it affects our everyday life. This project spurred from my interest in jellyfish and raising awareness about how with warmer climates, jellyfish are becoming more prominent in marine ecosystems across the world prompting issues with marine ecosystem but also in energy production as they clog power plant cooling systems causing energy shortages. This project aims to spark curiosity and awe, giving that brief inspiration and thought that children and adults alike can take with them after experiencing this project within an aquarium or science museum. My personal learning goals included inclusive and accessible design, designing for diverse age groups, and learning about game design.
