Speakick is an English-speaking app focused on immersive, scenario-based conversational practice, designed to help learners improve their speaking skills in dynamic, real-life settings.
The app has two core features: Role-Play and AI-Chat.
In Role-Play, users practice English in realistic scenarios like job interviews or social gatherings, using prompts and feedback to build confidence and adaptability.
The AI-Chat feature lets users engage in conversations with AI-driven characters, such as historical figures or celebrities, making practice more motivating and enjoyable.
At the same time, the learning experience would be enhanced by feedback and assessment.
The inspiration for Speakick came from a desire to make language learning more relevant and engaging. I saw the need for a tool that goes beyond rote memorization, focusing instead on authentic interaction. The biggest challenge was designing a user experience that balances educational structure with the freedom to practice naturally, helping learners feel empowered to use English in real conversations
