Created by Sanjay Deshpande and Iwan Kurniawan, this interactive digital flipbook covers Sanjay’s experience as a young chronic brain cancer survivor. To introduce a concept on resilience (Five Stages of Grief by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross) and appeal to a young adult audience, we brought Sanjay’s story to life through bite-sized story-telling, AI-cloned audio narration using Sanjay’s voice, AI-generated images and concept pages. There is also an interactive feature encouraging the reader to reflect. We wish to share this book as a pre-read material for workshops on cancer advocacy or resilience, and also for general reading. Finally, we also hope that this multimedia experience will be easier for someone who has/had cancer to consume, even if they are tired or fatigued.
